This great performance is also attributed to the focused, committed and hardworking students and also the great team spirit that is exhibited by the teachers of the English Department, I would wish to sincerely thank all teachers of English in this great institution for the excellent job done every academic year.
High thought must have high language. (Aristophanes)
The above quote by the great Greek comedy writer Aristophanes aptly summarizes the crucial role a well mastered language plays in our lives. Our competence in a language determines how we think and view or create our world.
English as a language is a key subject in our school; not only as a medium of communication but also in its key role as a medium of instruction for all other subjects except may be Kiswahili.
Knowing the key role our subject plays in the lives of our leaners; we have endeavored to equip them with great communicative competence that not only sets them apart as the tenacious queens that they are but also gives them high thoughts and consequently high life.
This has been accomplished through cultivating a reading culture, debates and encouraging the learners to use English in their everyday communication.
As our department mantra states; we only endeavor to move onward and upward and register even better performance in the coming years.
The English language has registered admirable grades and mean scores in the past three years:
